XRP is trading near $1.40 on the 4-hour chart shared by crypto analyst Bird (@Bird_XRPL). The chart highlights the asset’s recent sharp advance from around $1 to over $1.58, followed by consolidation inside a descending channel.
Bird expects that structure to resolve higher. He wrote, “XRP will hit $2 within the next week.” He based the prediction on a bull flag he highlighted on the chart. However, this pattern does exclude the full scale of XRP’s recent move, as the asset peaked just under $1.70.
The analyst also acknowledged the uncertainty that comes with any market prediction. He wrote, “If I’m wrong, who cares?” His focus remains on the potential upside following a successful breakout.
The Bull Flag Structure
The chart shows XRP’s strong upward move from around $1 $1.58. The asset then began forming lower highs and lower lows within two descending blue trendlines.
That structure gives the chart its bull flag appearance. The upper boundary slopes downward from the $1.58 area, while the lower boundary falls toward roughly $1.30. XRP now trades near $1.40, close to the upper half of that consolidation.
The $2 Target
Bird’s calculation projected a breakout to happen around $2 to $2.04. The chart illustrates that projection with a green arrow that moves above the flag toward the $1.70 area before extending toward the $2 region.
The setup requires XRP to break above the descending channel. A sustained move through that resistance would confirm the bull flag and place $2 within the measured target zone.
XRP has declined slightly, but the current price still sits near $1.40. A move to $2 represents a roughly 43% increase. That would also take XRP beyond the consolidation range shown on the chart.
What Comes Next for XRP?
The next important development is XRP’s interaction with the upper blue trendline. Experts are convinced XRP won’t stay below $2 for long. A breakout would shift attention toward the $1.70 area before the projected move toward $2 to $2.04.
Bird sees the current consolidation as the pause that can precede continuation of the earlier advance. The chart presents a clear technical path. XRP needs to break the descending flag, establish momentum above the pattern, then pursue the measured target. If that sequence develops, Bird expects the asset to hit $2 within the next week.
