Apex Group, Chainlink, T-REX Network and the ERC-3643 Association have demonstrated a modular compliance framework for onchain bonds that follows Swift standards. Swift has joined the ERC-3643 Association.
@ApexGlobalGroup, which says it services more than $3.5 trillion in assets, worked with @trex_network and @ERC3643Org on the setup. The aim is to apply one set of compliance rules on every chain a bond moves to, with the rules following @swiftcommunity standards, according to Apex Group's announcement.
How the Framework Works
The partners say aligning the ERC-3643 standard with Swift standards gives financial institutions a common compliance framework and greater clarity on tokenisation compliance. Under the announcement, ERC-3643 supplies the modular identity, eligibility and transfer rules, which are set at the level of the asset itself. T-REX Network lets an asset be deployed once, managed from a single source of record and distributed across networks.
Each party has a defined role. Apex Group provides the regulated asset servicing and operational environment, and has worked with Swift to apply the standards. The initial bond implementation is represented onchain through T-REX Network infrastructure and uses ERC-3643 for programmable compliance. Swift standards and taxonomy keep it consistent with existing capital markets processes and data models.
Chainlink's Role and What Comes Next
@chainlink ($LINK) supplies the infrastructure layer. Its Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) supports secure cross-chain transfers of ERC-3643 tokens, the Automated Compliance Engine (ACE) enforces compliance, and Data Streams provides pricing data.
The ERC-3643 Association provides the open compliance framework, while Swift standards act as the market-alignment layer, helping keep onchain asset representation in line with established financial market practices.
Swift, Chainlink, Apex Group and T-REX Network are collaborating in connection with the Singapore FinTech Festival to showcase end-to-end digital asset workflows.
The release does not name the blockchains used or the issuer and size of the initial bond.
