Arbitrum (@arbitrum) $ARB has launched the Arbitrum Stablecoin Growth Program to boost adoption of Global Dollar ($USDG) across its ecosystem. The scheme offers token rewards and support to applications that make USDG their main stablecoin on the network.

How the Arbitrum Stablecoin Growth Program works

The program targets applications that use USDG as their primary stablecoin, collateral or on-ramp asset. According to Arbitrum's announcement, it is open to protocols with at least $1 million in stablecoin balances.

The first 10 teams to reach $10 million in USDG total value locked (TVL) will each receive 200,000 ARB from a 2 million ARB prize pool. Crypto Economy reported that the $10 million threshold is measured as a 30-day average.

Other eligibility details have been reported. Applicants must have a live product and audited smart contracts, and the $1 million stablecoin balance is verified on DefiLlama at the time of application, according to details published by Alexa Blockchain. Teams are also expected to commit to building on Arbitrum.

Beyond the ARB rewards, Arbitrum says the program offers performance-based incentives, marketing support, technical assistance and introductions across the ecosystem. The Arbitrum Foundation is the source of the performance-based incentives.

Arbitrum framed the pitch around cost and complexity. Protocols that integrate USDG can focus on their core product rather than issuing and maintaining their own stablecoin, it said.

What is USDG?

USDG is a US dollar stablecoin issued by Paxos. According to Paxos documentation, it is issued by Paxos Digital Singapore, a Major Payments Institution supervised by the Monetary Authority of Singapore, and reserve assets are held in segregated accounts.

Paxos also issues a version in the European Union. In a July 2025 announcement, Paxos said USDG is compliant with the EU's Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) regulation and supervised by Finland's financial regulator.

USDG is the core asset of the Global Dollar Network, a group of exchanges and fintech firms. Paxos named Anchorage Digital, Kraken, Mastercard, Robinhood and Worldpay among its partners.

The program arrives as stablecoin issuers and blockchains compete for liquidity and usage. Arbitrum is using its own token to steer developer demand toward a single regulated dollar asset. Whether the incentives translate into lasting USDG balances will depend on how many teams meet the $10 million TVL threshold.
