@Backpack has added $TRX to its trading platform, enabling both spot and perpetual futures markets for @Trondao's native token. The move gives the exchange's global user base direct access to Tron liquidity and allows traders to open leveraged long or short positions on one of the most actively used settlement networks in crypto.
Backpack's perpetual futures product lets traders hold positions with no expiry date, with funding rates keeping contracts aligned to the spot price. Perpetual futures on Backpack Exchange let users go long or short on major crypto assets with leverage and no expiry date. The listing opens Tron exposure to both institutional desks and retail participants who want to hedge or express directional views on the token without holding the underlying asset directly.
The Backpack listing follows a broader trend of exchanges expanding their TRX derivatives offerings. Earlier this month, Bitnomial launched regulated TRX futures in the United States. "TRX is one of the largest digital assets by market capitalization, backed by one of the most established networks in crypto," said Michael Dunn, President of Bitnomial Exchange.
The exchange integration matters in part because of Tron's dominant position in stablecoin flows. TRON's stablecoin settlement volume reached $1.96 trillion in Q1 2026.TRON's stablecoin market cap share rose to 28.7% in Q2 2026, with USDT on the network hitting an all-time high of approximately $89 billion, representing 47% of total USDT supply.
The network increasingly serves as the preferred infrastructure for real-world dollar transfers, with low fees, fast settlement, and deep Tether liquidity continuing to attract remittances, peer-to-peer payments, and cross-border transactions. That utility underpins the case for liquid, accessible TRX trading markets across both spot and derivatives venues.
As more exchanges move to list TRX across product types, the token's trading infrastructure is catching up to the scale of the network it represents.
