In a strategic move to expand its range of derivative products, Binance has introduced perpetual futures contracts for PONS and HAJIMI. The leverage options for these two assets reflect their varying risk profiles. Binance allows up to 20x leverage for PONS, while more volatile asset HAJIMI has a maximum cap of 3x leverage, underscoring the company’s calculated approach to risk management.
What Are the Leverage Limits for PONS and HAJIMI?
The PONS token plays an integral role in the Robinhood Chain ecosystem, which operates as a layer-2 network based on Arbitrum. PONS is designed with a deflationary structure, supported by an automated buyback and burn mechanism funded by transaction fees. This strategic arrangement bolstered the token’s market presence, pushing its price to a new high of approximately $0.93 post-listing, with daily trading volumes soaring to $20.39 million.
In contrast, HAJIMI is a meme coin released through the four.meme platform on the BNB Chain. The asset’s price dynamics are significantly driven by the interest of its community, primarily centered in Asia. The leverage limitation of 3x for HAJIMI suggests a cautious approach towards its high volatility. Trading volumes for HAJIMI reached an impressive $26.66 million, as the token stabilized around $0.072.
The decision to set leverage at 20x for PONS and 3x for HAJIMI clearly highlights the difference in their risk profiles.
How Do Bot Trades Influence HAJIMI Activity?
Immediately after Binance’s announcement, HAJIMI witnessed a flurry of on-chain activity. Automated trading systems captured the initial order flow, even before individual investors, pushing a significant portion of the initial liquidity through algorithmic channels.
Blockchain analyst EmberCN reported that at 13:55:12 UTC, a news-trading bot executed a frontrunning maneuver leveraging Maximum Extractable Value (MEV) strategies, allowing it to reap additional profits by prioritizing its transaction within the block.
According to EmberCN, the bot sent its transaction through a private RPC channel directly to the BNB48 Club validator node, incurring costs totaling approximately $31,000, including a priority gas fee of 5.5 BNB.
EmberCN elaborated that the bot purchased 9.89 million HAJIMI tokens at $0.02 apiece and sold them minutes later during a buying wave at an average price of $0.058, netting a profit of $378,000.
