Chainlink just hit January peak Levels...

@Chainlink's $LINK token has clawed back to levels not seen since the start of the year, breaching the $12 mark and erasing months of sideways price action in the process.

Back to January Highs

The last time $LINK traded at $12 was in January 2026. In the months that followed, the token drifted lower, spending much of the intervening period bouncing between $8 and $10 amid broader crypto market volatility. That range has now been decisively broken. Per CoinGecko, $LINK has surged nearly 50% over the past 30 days, rallying from around $8.30 to nearly $12.50 before some profit-taking set in.

LINK surged roughly 50% before consolidating into a bullish pennant on the daily chart, a pattern traders often read as a continuation signal.Chart-based price targets now sit at $12, $15.50, $20, and $27, each level conditional on sustained buying pressure.

Bottomline Partnership Puts 600+ Banks On-Chain

Much of the renewed confidence in $LINK stems from a significant institutional development. Bottomline, a top-three provider of Swift services, has partnered with Chainlink to give more than 600 bank customers access to blockchain-based cross-border settlement.Owned by private equity firm Thoma Bravo, Bottomline manages more than $16 trillion in payments annually, and approximately 15% of international cross-border transactions on the Swift network move through its platform.

Chainlink's Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol, known as CCIP, allows different blockchains and traditional systems to communicate with each other, which is critical for any financial institution that wants to use blockchain without being locked into a single chain.Banks using the service would not need to replace their existing messaging systems to access blockchain settlement. The deal also fits into a broader push by Chainlink, whose Project Pangea already links more than 50 banks across Europe and South Korea that together manage over $10 trillion in assets.

Adding further fuel to the rally, Charles Schwab announced it would add $LINK, alongside $SOL and $AVAX, to its crypto platform, giving retail investors a new way to access the token through a major U.S. brokerage.$LINK-linked spot ETF products have also logged four straight weeks of positive net inflows through August 24, 2026, pushing cumulative net inflows past $145 million.

With institutional adoption broadening and a landmark banking partnership now live, $LINK's return to January highs looks less like a bounce and more like a re-rating of the protocol's real-world utility.
