Clearpool is heading to RippleSwell in New York, with co-founder and CEO Jakob Kronbichler set to participate in a panel focused on XRP’s expanding role in decentralized finance.
Kronbichler will speak on the “Advancing DeFi for XRP” panel on October 29 at 2:00 PM. The discussion is expected to cover lending, liquidity and credit markets, along with the infrastructure needed to support these use cases around XRP and the XRP Ledger.
Clearpool announced the appearance on X, saying the panel will explore “XRP’s growing role in DeFi across lending, liquidity, and credit.”
The appearance is particularly relevant given Clearpool’s work to bring institutional credit infrastructure to the XRP Ledger.

Clearpool has been advancing that effort through a strategic collaboration involving Ripple and Cicada Partners. The initiative is aimed at expanding institutional lending and credit capabilities on XRPL, adding another DeFi use case beyond payments and token transfers.
For XRP, lending and institutional credit represent an important area to watch as the ecosystem attempts to attract more financial activity directly onto the ledger.
The RippleSwell discussion should therefore provide more detail on how Clearpool views XRP’s role in these markets and what infrastructure still needs to be built before institutional DeFi on XRPL can operate at greater scale.
