The next @injective Community BuyBack opens on Wednesday, with the October pool valued at more than $247,000. Holders commit $INJ and receive a share of Injective ecosystem revenue in return, split by how much each person put in, while all committed INJ is burned for good.
Injective has also teased the return of Stockdrop, which debuted with September's round. Details for this round have not been shared yet.
According to Injective's own guide, once a month, participants commit INJ tokens and receive a pro rata share of the revenue generated across the Injective ecosystem. The committed INJ is then permanently burned. The program evolved from the original Burn Auction, replacing the winner-take-all model with a simpler, more accessible, and community-driven design.
The scheme launched in late 2025. Its first round burned 6.78 million INJ coins, worth roughly $32.28 million, according to CoinJournal. More recent rounds have been far smaller. In July, Injective burned a record 43,500 INJ worth $200,000 in its Community BuyBack round, bringing total tokens removed to over 6.9 million since late 2025.
The program sits within a wider burn framework. Injective says INJ Supply Squeeze, approved through governance proposal IIP-617 with 99.96% of votes in favor, is a broader deflationary framework that ties multiple burn mechanisms together.
What Stockdrop adds
Stockdrop debuted in September. Injective described it as a first-of-its-kind event that brings community-driven burns, ecosystem revenue, and Stock Token rewards together in a single experience. Per Blockchain.News, participants have the chance to claim tokenized stocks linked to major companies like NVIDIA and AMC, delivered directly on Robinhood Chain.
Eligibility does not depend on size. Each address is eligible for one stock token, regardless of the size of their INJ commitment. However, the INJ token burn and revenue share remain proportional to the amount committed. Injective says claims for Stockdrop open at the same time as claims for Community BuyBack rewards, at the conclusion of the buyback and burn, and the claim window remains open for one week.
Crypto Briefing reported that prior rounds have burned over 7.2 million INJ tokens, valued at approximately $55.5 million. Which stocks will be offered this month, and how many, has not yet been confirmed. Participants should check Injective Hub for the final terms once the round opens.
