Mirae Asset Securities’ Hong Kong branch has completed the issuance of tokenized notes on Solana, targeting institutional investors and marking a significant move for one of South Korea’s leading financial groups in the digital asset sector.
Innovative Solana transaction for institutions
The transaction utilized six-month floating-rate notes, forming part of Mirae Asset Securities’ $3 billion structured note program. Marketnode, a Singapore-based digital market infrastructure operator, served as the authorized distributor for this issuance.
Mirae Asset Securities developed and managed the entire process in-house, including token issuance, payment management, and oversight of the notes’ lifecycle via its internal digital infrastructure.
Mirae Asset Securities stated that the project demonstrates how a broader range of structured products could be delivered through blockchain-based systems.
The firm highlighted that the successful issuance sets a precedent for future blockchain-based distribution of complex financial instruments to institutional clients.
Mini dictionary: Marketnode is a Singapore-based digital infrastructure company specializing in the tokenization and electronic distribution of fixed income securities for institutional markets.
Mirae Asset Securities operates under Mirae Asset Financial Group, a diversified financial conglomerate active in brokerage, investment banking, asset management, and insurance. The group has accelerated its entry into digital assets in recent years, broadening its scope beyond traditional financial services.
In July, affiliate Mirae Asset Consulting acquired a controlling interest in Korean crypto exchange Korbit. Following the acquisition, the exchange was rebranded as Digital X to better reflect its focus on digital innovation in asset markets.
Mirae Asset Global Investments, another group subsidiary, manages the Global X and TIGER brands and is recognized as the twelfth-largest exchange-traded fund (ETF) business worldwide. The company’s ETF arm managed $275 billion in assets as of June 2026, according to company disclosures.

Solana’s growing institutional relevance
The issuance reflects the increasing attention Solana’s blockchain receives from major traditional financial players. By leveraging Solana’s digital ledger, Mirae Asset aims to facilitate faster, more transparent, and secure settlement of structured notes for institutional clients.
Further demonstrating support for Solana in the region, authorities in Hong Kong recently identified a Nasdaq-listed Solana-focused company as a strategic enterprise for the local digital economy, strengthening Solana’s profile among Asian financial institutions.
