Volume Growth Accelerates

@0xPolygon has reached $2.9 trillion in cumulative stablecoin transfer volume, the latest in a series of milestones that underline the network's growing role as a settlement layer for digital dollar payments. The figure is up from $2.7 trillion, which Polygon announced on July 23, and $2.6 trillion reported on June 3.

The pace of accumulation is picking up noticeably. Polygon added $200 billion in cumulative volume over the most recent 50-day window, double the $100 billion added in the 50-day period before that.

The trajectory fits a broader pattern of accelerating activity on the network. Polygon closed Q2 2026 with 743 million transactions, breaking its all-time record with a 160% increase from the same period last year.In May 2026 alone, Polygon processed $79.25 billion in stablecoin volume, leading all blockchains in transaction count with 198 million USD stablecoin transfers.

Real-World Partnerships Drive Adoption

The volume growth has been driven in part by high-profile enterprise integrations. Visa added Polygon to its global stablecoin settlement pilot in April, a program that has reached a $7 billion annualized run rate, while Meta rolled out USDC payouts on Polygon for creators earlier this year.

Stablecoin supply on the network has more than doubled in a year, from $1.6 billion in early 2025 to about $3.76 billion by early June 2026, with $USDC making up roughly 55% of it.Payment-focused projects built on Polygon generated $9.9 billion in transaction volume during the first half of 2026, a figure that exceeded Polygon's total payment-related volume for the entire year of 2025.

The network's low fees of around $0.002 per transaction and fast settlement times of about two seconds make it a preferred platform for real-world crypto payments. Those characteristics have helped Polygon compete for payment flow that might otherwise route through higher-cost networks.
