Tehran has publicly rejected these assertions. Iranian officials stated they have not initiated formal discussions regarding their nuclear activities and have not extended invitations to International Atomic Energy Agency personnel to resume inspections within their borders.
Trump characterized the proposed inspection regime as ensuring what he termed “Nuclear Honesty.” He emphasized that without such binding commitments from Iran, bilateral negotiations would cease immediately.
