The collaboration focuses on creating innovative financial transaction services leveraging both stablecoin technology and artificial intelligence capabilities. The companies intend to investigate commercial frameworks utilizing OUSD, a stablecoin built on open standards.

Additionally, the arrangement encompasses AI-enhanced payment systems and the foundational infrastructure supporting agentic commerce—autonomous AI systems capable of product discovery and transaction execution without direct user intervention.

Dunamu’s Chief Executive Oh Kyung-seok emphasized the strategic significance of emerging technologies. “AI, stablecoins and tokenization are key trends that will reshape how finance and commerce operate,” he said.

This partnership represents Visa’s second high-profile South Korean announcement within the same week. Days earlier, the corporation unveiled a settlement infrastructure collaboration with Shinhan Financial Group, recognized as one of South Korea’s premier banking institutions.

Data from CoinGecko indicates South Korea’s cryptocurrency user base exceeds 16 million individuals, positioning the country as a strategically important territory for payment infrastructure development.

Trading Performance on Friday

Visa stock commenced Friday’s session at $379.23, representing a 1.2% decrease. The equity trades within a 52-week bandwidth spanning $293.89 to $385.57, positioning current levels near the yearly peak.

Technical indicators show the 50-day moving average established at $357.99 while the 200-day moving average rests at $331.08. Visa commands a market capitalization of $676.72 billion with a price-to-earnings multiple of 32.25.

The company’s latest quarterly financial results, disclosed July 28th, revealed earnings per share of $3.32, surpassing analyst expectations of $3.23. Total revenue reached $11.63 billion, marking a 14.4% year-over-year increase and exceeding the projected $11.40 billion.

Wall Street Outlook and Institutional Holdings

Wall Street analysts maintain predominantly bullish perspectives on Visa shares. Piper Sandler assigns an “overweight” designation with a $430 price objective. Wells Fargo similarly rates the stock “overweight” targeting $432. Both UBS and Barclays maintain “buy” or “overweight” classifications with $420 price goals. Regarding institutional ownership, North Star Asset Management established a new holding valued at approximately $48.4 million during Q2. Multiple investment entities including G&S Capital and NerdWallet Wealth Partners expanded their existing Visa allocations throughout the quarter. Institutional shareholders collectively control 82.15% of outstanding shares.

Chief Executive Ryan McInerney divested 5,875 shares on August 21st at an average execution price of $367.87 through a predetermined Rule 10b5-1 trading arrangement. Company insiders have collectively sold approximately $34.5 million worth of stock over the preceding 90-day period.
