Dan sat down with me to discuss my new book, Web4: The Age of Autonomous Intelligence. After 15 years in crypto, I have grown frustrated with the Web3 decentralization bluff. Most projects are controlled by a few VCs and insiders. When five entities hold all the power, the network is an oligarchy driven by greed. We need a system that removes human bias.
Web4 is the natural evolution of Web3, powered by autonomous intelligence. I propose a radical shift where AI acts as the unbiased layer of governance. Imagine a system where the AI brain holds over 51 percent of the governance power. The AI would analyze data and present objective outcomes, while the community debates and votes. By combining objective AI analysis with human consensus, we create a truly fair network. Integrating Zero-Knowledge Machine Learning ensures privacy and verifiable computations on-chain.
We also discussed the AI industry. The startup funding bubble is bursting as investors demand tangible results. Chinese open-source models like Qwen and DeepSeek will dominate globally due to abundant energy, cheap computing power, and low operational costs.
Cryptocurrency remains the future of money, but we must respect regulatory frameworks. Platforms offering massive leverage without KYC will face severe regulatory backlash. Understanding regulation separates sustainable projects from black swan events. Furthermore, as deepfakes become indistinguishable from reality, AI must detect AI to verify media authenticity.
I wrote this book to challenge the status quo and priced it at $1.99 so everyone can understand these critical concepts. The convergence of AI and blockchain is inevitable, and Web4 is where true decentralization finally becomes a reality.
