As crypto companies get ready to report their quarterly earnings, Citibank (NYSE: C) boosted the price targets on several major stocks.

Citigroup traces its lineage to the City Bank of New York, which was chartered in 1812. The bank has research analysts who regularly publish their price targets and ratings on popular stocks so that investors can make an informed decision.

The Wall Street giant believes the crypto sector is entering earnings season with a “considerably stronger backdrop” relative to a few months ago.

The bank remains constructive on companies positioned around tokenization and market infrastructure and keeps its preference for AI-enabled infrastructure themes.

Coinbase Global

Founded by Brian Armstrong and Fred Ehrsam in 2012, Coinbase Global (Nasdaq: COIN) is the leading cryptocurrency trading exchange in the U.S.

The firm, which went public in 2021, became the first pure-play crypto company to join the much-coveted S&P 500 index in May 2025.

Citi analyst Peter Christiansen raised the price target on Coinbase stock from $210 to $230 and reiterated a Buy rating as part of the Q3 earnings preview.

The crypto exchange's bets on tokenization, market infrastructure, and AI-powered infrastructure are also themes the bank priced in while lifting the target.

The COIN stock was trading at $172.08 at the time of writing, down nearly 24% this year.

Galaxy Digital

Founded by billionaire investor Mike Novogratz in 2018, Galaxy Digital (Nasdaq: GLXY) is a financial services and technology company that specializes in cryptocurrency, blockchain, digital asset investing, and AI data-center infrastructure.

The City analyst lifted its price target on Galaxy from $26 to $28 and upgraded the rating from Neutral to Buy due to improved visibility in its AI and high-performance computing (HPC) business.

Christiansen cited stronger-than-expected economics at Galaxy's Helios I data center while raising the target. He also expects Galaxy to name a tenant for its second Helios site within six months, which he said would make the data center business less risky.

Helios, in West Texas, is Galaxy’s flagship campus. It’s approved for 1,600 megawatts of power and could eventually draw more than 3,600 megawatts.

"We think the risk/reward is attractive."

The GLXY stock was trading at $18.02 at the time of writing, down 19% this year.

Gemini Space Station

Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss were studying at Harvard University at the same time as Mark Zuckerberg. When Zuckerberg launched Facebook, the Winklevoss twins alleged Zuckerberg stole their idea for a social networking site.

After the twins settled the case for $65 million, they reinvested a part of the amount in Bitcoin (BTC) in 2013. The next year, he founded Gemini in 2014.

Though the twins considered taking the crypto company public as early as 2021, they shelved the plan amid the crypto winter.

In simple terms, crypto winter refers to a period when prices fall and stay low for months, investors lose interest, and some crypto companies cut jobs or go out of business.

The latest one hit in late 2025 and 2026. Bitcoin peaked above $126,000 in October 2025, then slid for months. By July 2026 it had fallen to about $58,600. It has since bounced back to around $82,000, but is still well below the record.

Gemini went public in September last year, raising $425 million at a $3.3 billion valuation.

The Citi analyst upgraded Gemini from Sell to Neutral and raised the price target on the stock from $3.20 to $4.75, citing improving volumes and risk-reward.

The GEMI stock was exchanging hands at $3.89 at the time of writing, down 60% this year.
