Uniswap’s native token, UNI, reached a new record for daily burn value. According to data, approximately $590,000 worth of UNI was burned on August 21st (yesterday). This figure represents the highest daily UNI burn amount ever recorded in dollar terms.
The largest portion of the burn occurred on the Ethereum network. Approximately $267,000 worth of UNI was removed from circulation on Ethereum, $165,000 on Base, and approximately $87,000 on Robinhood Chain. Including burns on other networks, the total daily value approached $590,000.
In terms of token volume, approximately 150,000 UNI were burned on August 21st. This amount stands out as the second highest daily burn in UNI terms recorded on the date.
The data shows that the UNI burning mechanism has accelerated significantly recently, with activity spreading across different networks.
