- Analyst identifies $84,000 as a breakout trigger, with a potential rally toward $93,000 if Bitcoin closes above the level on the four-hour chart.
- Bitcoin’s RSI stands at 52.48, while its negative MACD histogram signals mixed momentum as BTC approaches resistance between $84,000 and $85,000.
- Darkfost reports $685 billion in Bitcoin capital held at a loss, compared with less than $400 billion in profit, despite over 70% of supply remaining profitable.
Bitcoin is approaching $84,000, a level analyst Ali Charts identifies as the trigger for a possible rally toward $93,000. On October 14, 2026, BTC traded at $83,480.06 on Binance’s four-hour chart, while analyst Darkfost reported that investors still hold more capital at a loss than in profit.
Ali Charts Identifies $84,000 as Breakout Level
Ali Charts said Bitcoin previously rallied after holding the channel bottom and closing above its 50-period simple moving average (SMA) on the four-hour chart. The analyst sees a similar setup developing, with the 50 SMA now near $84,000.
A four-hour close above that level could open the way toward $93,000, according to Ali Charts. However, Bitcoin must first overcome nearby resistance between $84,000 and $85,000. The chart shows BTC recovering after falling toward $81,000 in early October.
Bitcoin previously climbed from approximately $75,500 in mid-September to above $86,000 around September 22. It later reached roughly $86,500 in early October before sellers pushed prices lower.
Bitcoin’s Recovery Shows Mixed Momentum
Bitcoin’s RSI stood at 52.48, above its signal average of 49.96. This places the indicator slightly above the neutral 50 level. Meanwhile, the MACD line measured 54.25, compared with 33.20 for its signal line.

However, the histogram remained negative at -21.04, leaving momentum confirmation mixed. Immediate support is between $82,000 and $83,000, followed by $81,000 and $80,000.
A rejection near $84,000 could bring those lower levels back into focus, while a sustained break could expose $85,000 and 86,000–86,500.
Darkfost Reports $685 Billion in Bitcoin Losses
Darkfost reported that more than 70% of Bitcoin’s circulating supply remained in profit. However, the capital invested at a loss still totaled $685 billion, exceeding the less than $400 billion currently in profit.

The gap between profitable and loss-making capital is narrowing, Darkfost said. Nevertheless, the figures show that aggregate investor capital remains weighted toward unrealized losses despite Bitcoin’s recent recovery.
