BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) has absorbed 9,269 $BTC worth approximately $604 million across four consecutive days of net inflows, underscoring the fund's growing role as the primary institutional on-ramp to Bitcoin.
Four-Day Streak Follows a Sluggish July
BlackRock's IBIT logged four consecutive days of net inflows totaling 9,269 BTC, worth approximately $604 million at current prices. The streak follows what analysts described as a weak July for Bitcoin ETF flows broadly, making the early August recovery all the more notable.
U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded $137.6 million in net inflows on August 6, extending their positive streak to four consecutive trading sessions, with IBIT attracting $128.3 million during that session alone and accounting for most of the industry's net inflow. The August 6 result brought total net inflows since August 3 to $763.6 million, based on Farside Investors' daily fund data, with Bitcoin ETFs attracting $170.1 million on August 3, followed by $211.5 million on August 4 and $244.4 million on August 5.
IBIT Cements Its Dominance Among Institutional Investors
Since its launch, the fund has consistently accounted for 70 to 80 percent of daily inflows across the entire U.S. spot Bitcoin ETF market.Analysts have described a "winner-take-most" dynamic in the Bitcoin ETF market, in which BlackRock and Fidelity dominate flows while smaller issuers play supporting roles at best.
Nine thousand-plus BTC absorbed in four days represents meaningful demand against available spot liquidity.ETF flows are one of the clearest real-time gauges of institutional sentiment toward crypto because the funds buy and sell actual Bitcoin to match investor demand, and sustained inflows can tighten available supply while heavy outflows can add selling pressure to the spot market.
The latest accumulation run cements IBIT's position as the default conduit for legacy capital entering the Bitcoin ecosystem, with each new inflow streak reinforcing the structural shift from retail-driven speculation to regulated, institutional-grade ownership of $BTC.
