DUBAI Sitting on a pile of Bitcoin and waiting for the price to go up is a classic strategy. But what if that Bitcoin could work for you in the meantime?
Crypto exchange Bybit says it has figured out a way. The company just revealed that its Bitcoin-focused Private Wealth Management (PWM) platform pulled in a steady 4.9% annualized return over the last 60 days. Some specific funds did even better, clocking 30-day annualized returns above 40%.
It’s a timely boast. Right now, crypto exchanges are locked in a fierce battle to woo big-money investors who want to stack more sats without selling what they already own.
Moving Big Money
Bybit’s wealth platform isn't for casual retail traders. It requires a steep minimum investment of 10 BTC.
Since its launch in September 2025, the platform has quietly grown, now managing over $239 million across 160 portfolios. A recent upgrade, dubbed PWM 2.0, opened up the dashboard to VIP users and introduced personalized portfolio features.
The core appeal here is simple: everything is priced in Bitcoin. You invest BTC, and you get paid out in BTC. This keeps investors fully exposed to Bitcoin's price swings while they accumulate yield. For those holding dollars, Bybit also lets users invest via USDT and slowly convert their earnings into Bitcoin.
"Many Bitcoin holders want to earn income but don't want to lose their long-term position," says Jerry Li, Bybit's Head of Earn and Wealth Management. Market volatility is exactly why these products exist, Li noted.
The Search for Yield
Beyond the exclusive private wealth club, Bybit is rolling out other ways to squeeze yield out of Bitcoin. For investors with different risk tolerances, the exchange offers "On-Chain Earn" for staking, alongside more complex "Advanced Earn" options like Dual Asset and Discount Buy strategies.
This isn't happening in a vacuum.
The entire crypto landscape is shifting. Trading volumes alone don't cut it anymore for major exchanges. As institutional players and long-term believers take over the market, the race is on to provide sophisticated financial services that mimic traditional private banking just with digital assets.
Bybit’s latest push is proof that the crypto wealth management sector is growing up fast. For anyone holding a serious amount of crypto, the options for making that money work are only getting broader.
