Cetus Protocol, the leading decentralized exchange on @SuiNetwork ($SUI), has unveiled Cetus Skills, a new infrastructure layer that allows AI agents to interact directly and programmatically with the protocol. The release was announced by @CetusProtocol.
Cetus Skills is a set of Claude Code skills. Through them, AI agents can carry out actions on Cetus, including token swaps and liquidity management.
What Cetus Skills covers
According to the project's GitHub repository, the skills cover three DeFi building blocks on Sui: an Aggregator for smart order routing across multiple DEX providers, a Concentrated Liquidity Market Maker (CLMM) for capital-efficient liquidity provision, and a Dynamic Liquidity Market Maker (DLMM) that uses discrete price bins with dynamic fees. The repository says the skills are installed with a single command through GitHub.
Cetus describes the launch as part of its move into the AI era. Its account says the skills let agents tap into capabilities across swaps, liquidity and on-chain execution for their own use cases.
Cetus' position on Sui
Cetus is a decentralized exchange and liquidity protocol built on the Move-based Sui blockchain. CoinMarketCap describes it as the primary liquidity hub and most active dApp on the Sui network, using a concentrated liquidity model similar to Uniswap V3.
Data from DefiLlama shows Cetus had total value locked of about $26.68 million at the time of its latest snapshot, with nearly all of it on Sui. The same page lists 30-day DEX volume of about $548 million and cumulative DEX volume of roughly $86.5 billion.
The protocol's history includes a major security incident. The Block reported that Cetus relaunched 17 days after a $223 million exploit in May 2025, recovering about $162 million of funds with the help of a $30 million loan from the Sui Foundation.
The Cetus Skills launch comes as more DeFi projects build tooling aimed at autonomous software agents. How much on-chain activity such agents will generate on Cetus remains to be seen, and no usage figures for the new skills have been published.
