Metric Launches With Chainlink at Its Core
@metricxyz, a newly launched decentralized exchange, has selected @chainlink Data Streams as its price oracle, adding another protocol to the growing roster of DEXs building on Chainlink's infrastructure. Metric's pools trade tokenized stocks, commodities, and other real-world assets against live reference prices, with the team reporting $10 billion in processed volume during a stealth testing phase ahead of its public debut.
The choice of Chainlink Data Streams reflects a broader industry pattern. Chainlink expanded its Data Streams product to include 24/5 U.S. stock and ETF coverage, enabling decentralized platforms to offer near real-time pricing outside regular market hours. The product uses a pull model for sub-second updates, allowing more advanced trading logic and avoiding high gas costs. That combination makes it well-suited to a venue like Metric, where accurate, low-latency pricing across traditional asset classes is central to the product.
Deepening the Chainlink Stack on Robinhood Chain
Metric's launch also extends a pattern that has been building since July on @RobinhoodCrypto's new network. Robinhood Chain, Robinhood's Ethereum-based Layer 2 blockchain, adopted Chainlink as its official data and cross-chain oracle infrastructure powering Robinhood Chain and all Robinhood-issued assets. Chainlink went live from block zero as the official oracle and cross-chain infrastructure when the mainnet launched on July 1, 2026, meaning $LINK's role on the network predates every application that has since deployed on top of it.
Data Feeds handle onchain reference prices for tokenized equities, Data Streams deliver low-latency market data for high-frequency trading and settlement flows, and the Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol moves stock tokens and messages between Robinhood Chain and outside networks. Metric now draws on that same infrastructure stack to power its RWA trading pools.
The addition of Metric continues a steady drumbeat of protocols choosing Chainlink as their oracle layer across the wider DeFi landscape. Jupiter, Solana's largest DEX, adopted Chainlink Data Streams to power its newly launched prediction markets. On the RWA side, stablecoin, real-world asset, and wrapped asset issuers continue to integrate Chainlink at a rapid rate across onchain finance. For Robinhood Chain in particular, each new protocol that selects $LINK infrastructure reinforces the network's positioning as a regulated-friendly venue for tokenized traditional assets.
