Single Integration, Global Reach
@crossmint has launched a stablecoin wallet onramp covering more than 160 countries, giving fintechs a way to let users fund wallets without leaving their app. The product lets fintechs offer wallet funding with Apple Pay, Google Pay, or cards across more than 160 countries through one integration, with the flow staying inside the app.Developers can embed Crossmint's components or build a headless experience directly against the APIs.
The launch targets a persistent problem in stablecoin onboarding: low acceptance rates, disjointed user experiences, and lengthy processes that drive drop-off at the moment a new user first tries to fund an account.Identity verification is risk-based and calibrated to each market's requirements, allowing users to complete funding in a single session.
Regulated Infrastructure Across the EU and Beyond
The compliance architecture behind the product draws on authorizations Crossmint secured earlier this year. The company has been authorized as a Payment Institution by the Bank of Spain under PSD2, and received MiCA class 2 authorization from Spain's CNMV, establishing full authorization to operate as a crypto-asset service provider across the EU.Full registration as a CASP with CNMV allows passporting across all 27 EU member states.Outside the European Economic Area, onramps are supported either through a Crossmint entity holding the relevant local authorization or through a licensed local partner.
KYC, sanctions and AML screening, wallet screening, and Travel Rule obligations are all handled directly by Crossmint. On card transactions, the company also manages disputes and assumes chargeback liability. That positions Crossmint as a single regulated counterparty across the money movement stack, rather than a patchwork of vendors.
The onramp sits within a broader platform that also covers embedded wallets, stablecoin orchestration, offramps, and cards. Crossmint says it serves more than 40,000 enterprises and developers, with clients including MoneyGram, Wirex, and Tala.
