MultiversX Mainnet Upgrade Lands August 6

Validators and node operators need to upgrade ahead of that epoch to stay in sync with the network. Full release notes are published on theMultiversX releases page.
ACX Exchange Portal: A Later Launch Window
Across Protocol had initially aimed for its ACX Exchange Portal, which lets holders exchange ACX for equity or sell it for cash, to go live by July 3.
According to the project's official update, that portal is now expected to go live later, most likely by the end of July or during August 2026.

The team says the remaining work is legal and operational, and it wants to complete that diligence before launch rather than rush it.
LayerZero Winds Down Support for Five Chains
LayerZero announced it is winding down off-chain support for chains with minimal activity. Once support ends, LayerZero's DVN and Executor services will no longer work on Botanix, Canto, Moonriver, Moonbeam, and Nexera.
The change takes effect within 30 days of the July 25 announcement, which places the cutoff around August 24.

Stargate users holding Hydra assets (USDC.e, wETH, and Hydra USDT) on these chains need to redeem them before then, since funds left behind after full deprecation may become inaccessible.
Zano Hard Fork 6 Brings Gateway Addresses
Zano confirmed its sixth hard fork will activate at block 3,833,000, expected between August 25 and 27.
According to the project, HF6 introduces gateway addresses, an account-based address type that lets exchanges and services read one balance instead of scanning the chain and piecing outputs together.
The team says integrations that used to take weeks of engineering work will become much faster once HF6 is live. Wallets, node operators, and pools all need to update before the activation block.

BitMart Trading Shutdown: August 26 Deadline
BitMart announced an orderly wind-down of its trading platform on July 26, 2026. New registrations, deposits, and new trading orders were suspended immediately. Beginning August 26 at 01:00 UTC, the exchange will discontinue all spot, futures, and other trading services.
Open futures positions at that point may be settled using the mark price, index price, or settlement rules in effect at the time.
Full operations are scheduled to cease on January 31, 2027. Users should complete KYC where required and withdraw assets ahead of the trading cutoff, per theofficial BitMart notice.
Market Impact to Watch
These five events fall into two groups. The MultiversX upgrade and Zano's gateway addresses are infrastructure changes aimed at easier integrations, not direct price catalysts on their own.
The ACX portal, by contrast, gives holders a real path to convert tokens into equity or cash, which could affect ACX demand once it goes live.
The LayerZero and BitMart items are deadline-driven. Users on the affected chains or exchange need to move funds before the cutoff dates, or they risk losing access.
Watch official announcements in the days before each deadline, since exchange wind-downs and chain support changes sometimes shift by a few days.
Expert Opinion
Taken together, these crypto events in August 2026 point to a month focused on infrastructure and consolidation rather than new launches.
Two projects, MultiversX and Zano, are shipping upgrades meant to make integration easier for exchanges and services. Two other items, the LayerZero wind-down and the BitMart shutdown, are cleanup events that require direct user action before a fixed deadline.
The ACX portal sits apart, since it is a new mechanism for converting a token into cash or equity, and its exact launch date still depends on legal and operational steps.
Conclusion
August 2026 carries five dated events worth tracking: the MultiversX upgrade on August 6, the ACX portal expected during the month, LayerZero's chain wind-down around August 24, Zano's Hard Fork 6 between August 25 and 27, and BitMart's trading shutdown on August 26. Users with funds on the affected chains or exchange should act before their respective deadlines.
