Dogecoin has experienced a notable slowdown in transactions over the weekend, with its 24-hour trading volume declining precipitously by 49% to $607 million, according to CoinMarketCap data. The broader cryptocurrency market continues to face selling pressure, highlighting cautious movement among market participants.

Weekend Lull Grips Cryptocurrency Markets

Dogecoin’s price retreated for the fourth consecutive day on Saturday, settling at $0.079. The cryptocurrency’s weak performance is largely attributed to higher-than-expected inflation figures and ongoing uncertainty about potential interest rate hikes by the Federal Reserve this month. With approximately two weeks until the decision, Fed Chair Kevin Warsh has offered no clear signals regarding future rate increases.

As a highly popular, meme-themed cryptocurrency, Dogecoin has made a name for itself among a wide user base. However, recent price movements have been shaped more by macroeconomic developments and a waning appetite in the broader market.

CoinMarketCap data indicates DOGE‘s trading volume dropped to $607 million, marking a significant weekend decline in market participation.

Technical Signals and Key Levels in Focus

Cryptocurrency analyst Ali has noted that the TD Sequential indicator on Dogecoin’s daily chart is signaling a buying opportunity. According to Ali, if buyers regain momentum, price levels at $0.087 and a trend line near $0.094 could become key areas to watch in the short term.

Following a peak of $0.097 on October 4, 2026, Dogecoin has entered a general downtrend, having dipped below both its 50-day and 200-day moving averages. The daily Relative Strength Index (RSI) reaching 34 suggests that the selling pressure might soon approach oversold conditions.

Ali states that the emergence of a TD Sequential buy signal on the daily chart could bring price ranges of $0.087 and $0.094 back into focus should buyers re-enter the market.

Buyers Show Interest Around $0.081 Range

Another significant observation is the concentrated trading activity near the $0.081 price tier. URPD data reveals approximately 36 billion DOGE tokens previously changed hands in this region, making it a focal point for potential recoveries.

Large wallet holders have reportedly been active near these levels, with significant investors accumulating around 600 million DOGE since October 12. Nonetheless, if selling pressures intensify, the $0.07 range could act as a critical support level in a downward scenario.
