DEX Volume Surges 55% in Seven Days
The @Hedera network is posting some of its strongest on-chain numbers in recent memory. According to DefiLlama data, Hedera's DEX volume climbed 55% over the past week, reaching $49.32 million in total trading volume processed across the network. That comes alongside a nearly 5% increase in total value locked (TVL) in the past 24 hours, adding further weight to the broader activity pickup.
The busiest single day during the stretch was September 29, when Hedera recorded more than $17 million in DEX trading volume. DefiLlama data confirms the weekly volume figure of $49.32 million and a 55% weekly change for the chain.
SaucerSwap Leads the Pack
@SaucerSwapLabs was the standout performer driving much of that volume. SaucerSwap is the largest DEX on Hedera by trading volume, with over $6 billion in all-time volume and more than 19 million trades as of mid-2026. The protocol combines an automated market maker, concentrated liquidity pools, and a central limit order book, along with yield farming and single-sided staking.
SaucerSwap chose to build on Hedera for its ability to support fast, high-volume transactions at lower fees than alternative networks, and also leverages Hedera Consensus Service for its governance structure.
The surge in DEX activity on Hedera fits into a broader pattern of growing network engagement. In Q1 2026, Hedera saw a 140% year-over-year increase in daily active wallets, reaching an average of 18,000. Earlier in 2026, the network also crossed the milestone of 50 billion total transactions since mainnet launch. For $HBAR watchers, sustained on-chain volume growth is one of the cleaner signals of genuine network demand, making this week's data worth monitoring closely.
