Hyperliquid price prediction talk has a new wrinkle today, and it has nothing to do with candles or trendlines at first glance.
On-chain data just flagged a large fund quietly moving a serious chunk of HYPE toward an exchange, and that kind of move tends to get traders' attention fast.
Combine that with a chart that just tried and failed to break higher, and HYPE suddenly looks like one of the more interesting setups to watch this week.
This article is a chart and flow data read, not a personal position or trade call.
Hyperliquid Price Today Live Data
HYPE is priced at $92.152 right now, down a modest 0.19% over the past 24 hours, according to CoinGlass.
The token's market cap sits at $23.13B, with futures volume running hot at $3.65B against $259.96M in spot volume.
Open interest is holding at $3.42B, and out of a 951.42M total supply, 251.23M HYPE is currently circulating, which is exactly matched by the max supply figure, so there's no additional dilution to worry about down the line.

Hyperliquid News Today Multicoin Transfer
The headline making the rounds today comes from BSCN (@BSCNews) on X, and it's not exactly bullish on the surface.
Citing Lookonchain data, the post says major fund Multicoin has sent 4.23M HYPE tokens, worth roughly $285M, to Coinbase Prime since July 28.
Transfers like this to an exchange custody wallet usually get read as prep work for selling, and the post itself noted that intent seems likely, though it isn't confirmed outright.
A move of this size from a well-known fund is the kind of thing that can weigh on sentiment even before any actual selling shows up on the tape, so it's worth keeping half an eye on HYPE's order flow over the coming days.

Quick Take on HYPE Setup
Current Market Price: 92.228 (1h Binance HYPE chart)
Upside Trigger: Close above 98.038, roughly 6.30% above CMP
Downside Trigger: Close below 89.682, roughly 2.76% below CMP
Data Timestamp: September 25, 2026, 12:38 IST
Risk Note: A large holder moving tokens toward an exchange adds extra downside risk on top of the technical picture, so size positions with that in mind.
Hyperliquid Price Prediction 2026 Technical Analysis
The 1h HYPE chart tells a story of a coin that tried to turn the corner and got pushed back for its trouble.
Price had been sliding along a clear descending trendline for a few days, and around the 92 area it made a genuine attempt to break above that line.
For a moment it looked like the pressure was finally breaking, but the move didn't hold, and HYPE slipped back down almost as fast as it pushed up.
The RSI at 48.24 reflects that hesitation well, sitting right around the midpoint after briefly flashing bullish momentum near the breakout attempt.
That kind of reading usually means the market hasn't fully committed to a direction yet, which lines up with what the price action is showing.
If HYPE can regroup and close above 98.038, that would be the strongest signal yet that the descending trendline is finally broken for good, opening the door to the psychological 100 level first and then a much bigger move toward 115.101.
On the other hand, if the price closes below 89.682, that confirms the earlier breakout attempt was a fakeout, and 87.074 becomes the level buyers need to defend next.

Bull Base and Bear Scenarios for HYPE
For the bulls, everything hinges on HYPE clearing 98.038 on a closing basis.
That would erase the sting of the failed breakout attempt and put the psychological 100 mark directly in play, with a further stretch toward 115.101 possible if buying interest keeps building.
It would also be a nice counter to the Multicoin headline, showing the market can absorb a large transfer without losing its bullish structure.
The middle ground here looks like more chop between 89.682 and 98.038 while traders wait to see whether that Multicoin position actually hits the sell side or just sits in custody.
Given the mixed signals right now, a stretch of range-bound trading wouldn't be shocking before HYPE picks a real direction.
If sellers take control instead, a close below 89.682 would confirm the trendline breakout attempt has failed outright, and 87.074 becomes the next real support test.
That scenario would line up uncomfortably well with the Multicoin transfer news, and a failure to hold 87.074 could open the door to a deeper slide if that fund does start distributing.
Risks to Watch Before Trading HYPE
The Multicoin transfer is the standout risk here; a $285M position sitting on an exchange is a real overhang until it either gets sold or moved back off-exchange, and there's no way to know which happens first.
Broader risk appetite in crypto also matters more than usual for a coin like HYPE that trades with heavy leverage in its futures market, given futures volume is more than 14 times spot volume right now.
A failed breakout that turns into a breakdown can also move fast on lower timeframes like this 1h chart, so tight risk management matters more than usual here.
Hyperliquid Long-Term Outlook 2030
Looking out to 2030, I'd put HYPE somewhere between $180 and $260, largely tied to whether Hyperliquid keeps its lead as the top decentralized perpetuals exchange by volume.
Large holder transfers like the one in today's news are a short-term noise factor rather than a long-term thesis breaker, and a protocol with real trading volume behind it tends to work through this kind of overhang eventually.
The bigger question for that timeline is whether decentralized perp trading keeps pulling share away from centralized venues, and right now the trend still favors that outcome.
