The chairman of InterLink, @kv_interlink, has announced that the InterLink Blockchain mainnet will adopt a validator consensus system, with a minimum stake of just 1 $ITL required to participate. The move signals a significant shift in how the network operates and secures itself.

Under the new structure, any user holding at least 1 $ITL will be eligible to become a validator or a delegate. This low entry threshold is designed to keep participation open to the broader community, rather than restricting validator roles to large token holders.

InterLink is a live Layer-1 blockchain described on its official website as "a decentralized blockchain network built for humans that anchors identity, reputation, and economic coordination."Unlike traditional Proof-of-Work systems, InterLink uses a Proof of Personhood consensus, relying on facial liveness detection to eliminate bots and ensure that network rewards go to authentic human participants.

End of Mobile Mining: What It Means for Users

The validator announcement also marks a clear turning point for the network's incentive model. Once the 10M $ITL distribution phase is complete, the team has stated it will stop paying mobile mining rewards. Network security will then be maintained entirely through staking and delegation.

InterLink operates a dual-token economic structure. $ITLG, the Genesis Token, is earned through active community participation, mobile mining, and daily interactions, while $ITL serves as the reserve asset for institutional partners and core network functions. The ITLG staking mechanism allows users to convert their $ITLG tokens into $ITL through different lock and vesting combinations.

According to the InterLink whitepaper roadmap, validator participation is set to open beyond the Foundation Phase proof-of-authority set into open BFT validator participation, while preserving identity-gated validator eligibility. Delegated staking will also be enabled for vITLG holders.

The open and public mainnet is targeted for 2027, ending the pure mobile-mining phase and shifting the network more toward staking, validators, and external liquidity. The validator node announcement appears to be a key step in that broader transition, giving the community early clarity on what participation will look like once mobile mining winds down.
