Strategy, the Nasdaq-listed company led by Michael Saylor, added 1,665 Bitcoin and bought back $152 million of STRC, it announced on Monday on X.
As per the SEC filing, holdings stood at 847,666 BTC as of September 27, alongside $6.02 billion in USD assets.
Last Monday, Strategy reported 950 BTC, worth about $76 million.
The latest purchase is roughly 75% larger. Before that, the company ended a 10-week pause on August 31 with 4,603 BTC. With Bitcoin trading near $83,000, the new coins are worth around $138 million.
On X, Saylor teased the buy on Sunday by posting a chart of Strategy's purchases with the caption "Even more orange." He made a similar post a day before last week's purchase.
Credit metrics improve
Strategy said its USD duration is 3.8 years. STRC's BTC credit tightened by one basis point to 49 bps, based on 10% BTC ARR, 40% volatility and a Bitcoin price of $84,006.
The buyback also outweighed the Bitcoin purchase in dollar terms. Last week, the company spent $174 million on preferred shares.
Buying has been uneven this year. Strategy sold 6,916 BTC across four transactions between June 30 and August 10.
Its average cost was near $75,400 per coin as of this filing, roughly 10% below current prices. For now, it remains the largest public corporate holder of Bitcoin.
Next Monday's filing will show whether the pace holds.
