Real Technologies Inc., the company behind the REAL Finance blockchain network, has had its $ASSET token whitepaper added to the European Securities and Markets Authority's (ESMA) Interim MiCA Register. The filing, made under Title II of the EU's Markets in Crypto-Assets regulation, gives the token a single regulatory disclosure that applies across all 30 European Economic Area countries.
In practical terms, this means exchanges and financial institutions looking at $ASSET no longer need to run separate evaluations country by country. Instead, they can refer to one standardized document when deciding whether to support the token.
The registration comes shortly after $ASSET was listed on Kraken's EU platform, building on existing trading availability across Kraken, KuCoin, and MEXC since April 2026. While the Kraken listing opened up market access, the MiCA registration tackles a different problem: giving $ASSET a clear regulatory footing underneath that access.
REAL Finance operates as an EVM-compatible Layer 1 blockchain focused on bringing traditional financial assets on-chain. The company has stated plans to tokenize over €3.5 billion in assets through its European operations, working alongside regulated partners including Austria's Wiener Privatbank for custody and structuring services. That goal puts it squarely within a broader European push to apply blockchain technology to real-world assets, a space that regulators have been watching more closely as activity picks up.
Ivo Grigorov, CEO of REAL Finance, framed the registration as a necessary building block. "It's a foundational step for how we want to operate in Europe," he said, pointing to the advantage of having one transparent reference point rather than navigating thirty separate national processes.
It is worth noting that being listed in the register does not mean any EU authority has approved or endorsed $ASSET. Each exchange still makes its own independent decision about whether to list or support the token. The full MiCA whitepaper is publicly available on the company's website.
REAL Finance has raised $29 million to date from investors including Nimbus Capital, Magnus Capital, and Frekaz Group.
