Record Tokenized AUM, But Costs Bite
@Securitize reported its first set of results as a publicly traded company on August 12, 2026, posting a record quarter for tokenized asset growth even as profitability deteriorated. Average tokenized assets under management reached a record $4.3 billion, up 16% year on year, with quarter-end tokenized AUM also rising 9% to $4.3 billion.Aggregate transaction volume climbed 147% to $5.3 billion.
The company reported a $21.7 million net loss for the second quarter as revenue fell 5% from a year earlier to $14.4 million. The loss widened from $6.1 million in the same quarter of 2025 and amounted to $2.37 per diluted share.Adjusted EBITDA swung to a $5.5 million loss from positive adjusted EBITDA of $1.8 million a year earlier.Total operating costs and expenses rose 56% to $24.1 million.
Fund services assets under administration fell approximately 20%, adding further pressure to the company's top line. The company entered Q3 with roughly $350 million in cash and no debt, providing a meaningful cushion as it scales.
NYSE Debut and the Cantor Deal
On July 2, shortly after quarter-end, Securitize began trading on the New York Stock Exchange, becoming the first tokenization company to go public.Simultaneously with its listing, the company brought its own common stock onchain, becoming the largest tokenized equity in the industry and the first to do so in the U.S. on its first day of public trading.
The NYSE listing followed Securitize's combination with Cantor Equity Partners II. Securitize received approximately $400 million in gross proceeds from the business combination, including related PIPE financings and excluding all transaction-related expenses. The Q2 results cover the period before that transaction closed, meaning the strengthened cash position was not yet reflected in the reported quarter.
Securitize, which describes itself as the world's leader in tokenizing real-world assets with approximately $5 billion in AUM as of July 2026, operates tokenized funds in partnership with asset managers including Apollo, BlackRock, BNY, Hamilton Lane, KKR, and VanEck. The sharp divergence between surging transaction volumes and sliding revenue will be the central question for investors as the company holds its first earnings call as a listed company on August 13.
