StoneX raised its Securitize stock price target to $18 from $12 on Monday, October 12, while maintaining a Buy rating. Analyst Mark Palmer sees new revenue opportunities following the launch of Securitize Stocks. Shares nevertheless fell 10% in morning trading, according to The Block, leaving the revised target roughly 45% above that market snapshot.
Securitize stock outlook shifts toward transaction fees
Palmer argues investors still value the company mainly as a tokenization provider, despite its expansion into running securities markets. That distinction underpins the 50% target increase.
During the August earnings call, management said integration fees generated most tokenization revenue, according to StoneX. The analyst believes the new platform could earn transaction and servicing fees, with collateral-related revenue potentially following later.
The October 8 launch introduced tokenized exposure to 12 major U.S. companies, including Apple, Nvidia and Tesla. Trading uses Solana, with settlement in USDC through the company’s regulated broker-dealer.
Securitize says the instruments are backed one-for-one by underlying shares and carry associated economic and shareholder rights. Access remains subject to investor eligibility and securities rules.
For Securitize stock, the opportunity depends on converting platform activity into recurring income. Higher trading volume alone does not establish how much revenue the company will retain.
Revenue forecasts face a test after quarterly losses
StoneX projects nearly $120 million in revenue for 2027 and almost $200 million for 2028. Its Securitize stock target uses a 14.5-times enterprise-value-to-revenue multiple against the 2028 forecast. These projections depend on adoption and successful commercial execution.
Those estimates contrast with the latest quarterly results. Second-quarter revenue fell 5% year over year to $14.4 million, while the company reported a $21.7 million net loss.
Aggregate transaction volume rose 147% to $5.3 billion. Average tokenized assets under management increased 16% to $4.3 billion, highlighting the gap between platform growth and current revenue performance.
For Securitize stock investors, fee generation and operating costs remain central to assessing the forecast. The company also reported FINRA approval to custody tokenized securities and support settlement between those assets and stablecoins.
