Shiba Inu, one of the largest meme-based cryptocurrencies, has experienced a notable 42% increase in its on-chain activity. This recent uptick in metrics points to a surge in transactional movement across the SHIB network, attracting fresh attention from traders and analysts.

On-chain growth and what it means

This rise in on-chain activity typically signals a greater volume of transactions or interactions involving SHIB tokens. However, the data does not distinguish whether these movements involve buying, selling, wallet transfers, or other types of activity. Increased activity often stirs optimism among holders, yet market analysts emphasized that such spikes require confirmation from price action, trading volume, and broader market structure before being interpreted as a robust bullish indicator.

At present, SHIB trades at approximately $0.00000521. The price has shown resilience, recovering from its July low of around $0.0000041. Despite this bounce, attempts at reversing the long-term downtrend have repeatedly met resistance and have yet to signal a confirmed shift in momentum.

Current price dynamics and resistance levels

A major resistance zone for SHIB sits between $0.0000056 and $0.0000057. This area is defined by a still-declining long-term moving average. During a price spike in late August, SHIB briefly broke above this resistance, reaching about $0.0000062. However, the rally was short-lived, and sellers quickly pushed the token back below the resistance threshold.

On shorter timeframes, Shiba Inu shows signs of stability. A cluster of moving averages around $0.0000050 to $0.0000051 now acts as immediate support. Maintaining this support could set the stage for another recovery attempt. If the price falls below $0.0000050, further downside toward $0.0000047 to $0.0000045 may be exposed.

Price LevelSignificance$0.0000062Recent high (late August spike)$0.0000056–$0.0000057Major resistance (long-term average)$0.0000051–$0.0000050Immediate support (cluster of moving averages)$0.0000047–$0.0000045Potential downside target if support breaks

Momentum and volume signals

Momentum indicators remain cautious. The daily Relative Strength Index (RSI), which measures price momentum, currently sits close to the neutral 50 level rather than signaling clear bullish strength. At the same time, trading volumes have dropped well below July and August highs, indicating reduced speculative interest in the short term.

SHIB’s on-chain growth, while significant, does not guarantee a bullish reversal. Historically, network activity can increase ahead of price movement, but it may also rise without leading to meaningful gains, especially if accompanied by waning buying pressure.

Only a sustained move above $0.0000056 to $0.0000057, especially supported by increased trading volume and momentum metrics, would confirm that heightened on-chain activity is translating into genuine market demand for SHIB.
