Asset manager VanEck said it no longer plans to proceed with its proposed Lido staked Ether exchange-traded fund, shelving the product designed to give investors exposure to the liquid staking token.
In an SEC filing on Wednesday, VanEck Digital Assets said it “does not intend to proceed with the planned distribution” of the trust’s shares. It did not explain what prompted the decision or whether VanEck would pursue a replacement product.
VanEck initially filed the fund’s S-1 registration statement on Oct. 16, 2025. The proposed fund would have held Lido staked Ether (stETH) and would expect to accrue certain staking rewards through ownership of stETH.
Cointelegraph reached out to VanEck Digital Assets for comment.
