Four Tokens Added to Binance Monitoring Tag
Binance is extending its Monitoring Tag to AVA, GNS, SCR, and TOWNS effective September 4, following a review of the tokens against the exchange's listing standards. The label places all four tokens under closer review, with the exchange applying the tag after assessing each asset against its ongoing requirements.
The Monitoring Tag is Binance's formal warning that a token carries elevated risk and may face delisting if performance does not improve, signalling that a project no longer fully satisfies the exchange's strict listing criteria.Binance weighs team commitment, development activity, trading volume, liquidity, network stability, and tokenomics changes during each review.
Binance requires users to pass a Monitoring Tag quiz to enable trading for flagged tokens, and to retake it every 90 days to maintain access. The exchange will continue periodic reviews and may remove the tag if conditions improve, or delist an asset if it decides the token no longer meets its standards. The recent record gives the label real weight: Binance delisted Across Protocol (ACX), Hashflow (HFT), PIVX, Vulcan Forged PYR, Vanar (VANRY), and Viction (VIC) last month, all of which had previously been tagged.
14 Tokens Exit Binance Alpha
In a separate action, Binance Alpha is removing 14 tokens from its recommended list, including SAROS, U (Union), SERAPH, RVV, AIAV, and PENGUIN. Being dropped from Alpha is distinct from a full delisting. The removal does not mean the tokens are completely delisted from Binance. The assets are simply taken off Binance Alpha's featured projects list, though analysts note such decisions can reduce token visibility and put pressure on short-term trading volumes and price performance.
Although the tokens have been removed from the featured list, users will still be able to sell and withdraw existing holdings, either via the Assets tab in the Binance Alpha app or by selecting the relevant token and following the Instant Sell steps.
The two actions together reflect Binance's continued effort to enforce listing quality across its platforms, with the Monitoring Tag serving as an early warning for spot listings and Alpha removals acting as a separate quality filter for its curated discovery layer.
