Binance’s tokenized stocks platform, bStocks, has surpassed $1 billion in assets under management, reaching this milestone just four months after launch in June 2026. Binance stated the platform achieved the fastest ascent to this level according to Dune Analytics data, marking a significant expansion in tokenized securities trading.
Rapid expansion and high trading volume
The bStocks service began on June 11 with five tokenized US stocks and exchange-traded funds (ETFs), allowing eligible Binance users to trade tokens backed one-to-one by underlying assets held in custody. Since then, the range has grown to nearly 100 securities, reflecting strong demand for tokenized equities from users globally.
Binance reported over $40 billion in cumulative trading volume on the bStocks platform, with daily trading averaging more than $300 million. The company also disclosed that users have converted a total of $6 billion between bStocks and direct stock holdings at full parity, underlining robust market activity since the rollout.
Eligible users can seamlessly convert between tokenized shares and directly held stocks, offering flexibility that traditional equities platforms typically do not provide.
Majority of trades occur outside Wall Street hours
Binance revealed that during July, only 38% of bStocks trades took place during standard US market hours. By comparison, conventional equities trading typically clusters around market open and close, with 89.2% of trades occurring within Wall Street trading windows.
bStocks customers benefit from being able to trade tokens over weekends and transfer assets into compatible personal wallets. This round-the-clock access has made tokenized stocks especially attractive to users outside the US or those seeking more flexible trading schedules.
Shunyet Jan, Binance’s head of exchange and trading, noted that widespread activity continues well beyond the initial launch, stating that clients actively trade bStocks, use them as collateral, and convert them back into standard stock positions.
Borrowing against bStocks accelerates
The growth of tokenized stocks on Binance has also fueled a rise in collateral-based borrowing. As of September 10, borrowing against deposited bStocks reached 46.2%, up sharply from 5.5% at the end of June. Binance extended the ability to pledge bStocks as collateral to a broader base of retail customers in September, implementing account checks and risk controls to support the expansion.
bStocks holders can now use their tokenized equities for margin and futures trading, accessing leverage up to five times their collateral value. Data from late July indicated that 58.5% of early bStocks users also participated in perpetual futures trading or direct stock transactions through the platform.
Other firms, such as Chainlink, are working to expand the tokenized securities landscape by connecting financial networks for more seamless operations.

Deployment in decentralized finance grows
By early October 2026, Binance stated that 11.2% of bStocks’ value had been deployed into decentralized finance (DeFi) ecosystems, exceeding similar tokenized stock offerings by 3.8 percentage points. The company estimated that tokenized stock transfer volume reached more than $100 billion in the third quarter, compared with $6 billion during the first quarter. This expansion indicates increasing confidence in the integration of tokenized assets within DeFi protocols and traditional trading environments.
However, bStocks holders do not receive shareholder voting rights associated with the underlying equities, setting them apart from direct stock investors despite the one-to-one backing.
