Bitcoin Exchanges Upbit and Bithumb Announce They’ve Added This Altcoin to Their Delisting Watchlist! Here Are the Details

South Korea’s leading cryptocurrency exchanges, Upbit and Bithumb, announced that they have added the Orchid token to their delisting watchlist. The decision by both exchanges, which points to the project’s perceived lack of transparency and information sharing, has been seen as a noteworthy development among investors.

Bithumb’s official statement indicated that the issuer of the Orchid project failed to provide sufficient information on critical issues that could significantly impact the asset’s value. The exchange also announced that a comprehensive review of the project’s business development processes revealed several shortcomings.

Upbit’s statement similarly indicated that the OXT token has been added to a watchlist based on specific review criteria. Major exchanges operating in South Korea regularly audit digital assets in terms of technical infrastructure, project sustainability, team communication, and investor information.

Tokens placed on the delist watchlist undergo a specific review process. During this process, the project team is expected to address any shortcomings and provide necessary explanations. Otherwise, trading support for these assets may be terminated.

Orchid is known as a blockchain-based project aiming to provide a decentralized virtual private network (VPN) service. The platform, which aims to enhance users’ internet privacy, has previously attracted attention due to the growing interest in privacy-focused technologies.
