Despite the recent pullback in Bitcoin’s price, it has been reported that large investors are continuing to accumulate BTC. Cryptocurrency market analyst Ali Martinez, in a post on X, stated that whales are viewing the recent price drop as a buying opportunity.

According to data shared by Martinez, Bitcoin fell by approximately 5.82 percent, dropping from $81,474 on August 28th to $76,732. Despite the significant price drop in a short period, it was noted that large investors increased their positions rather than selling.

According to the data, whales purchased approximately 6,765 Bitcoin during the period in question. The total value of these purchases is estimated to be around $521 million. Thus, it is seen that large investors made net accumulations during a period when selling pressure increased throughout the market.

The actions of investors holding large amounts of Bitcoin, known as whales, are considered important indicators of supply and demand dynamics in the market. Large investors withdrawing BTC from exchanges or accumulating assets for long-term custody can contribute to a decrease in the amount of Bitcoin available for sale in the market.

The recent price movement occurred after Bitcoin struggled to remain above the $80,000 level. The drop from $81,474 to $76,732 revealed increased selling pressure from short-term investors while whales pursued a different strategy.

The figures shared by Martinez indicate that despite the price drop, large investors are maintaining their long-term expectations for Bitcoin. The approximately $521 million in purchases stands out as significant data showing that strong players in the market find the current levels attractive.

However, it is noted that whale purchases do not guarantee a short-term rise in the Bitcoin price. Global liquidity conditions, investor sentiment, and other major capital movements in the market continue to influence the direction of BTC.

Market participants will closely monitor Bitcoin’s performance around the $76,000 level and the transactions that whales will carry out in the coming days. The continuation of the accumulation trend by large investors could support the possibility of a new recovery after the current correction.
