The cryptocurrency market recorded strong gains on April 8, with most major digital assets trading higher.

According to CoinMarketCap, as of 10:30 AM KST, Bitcoin (BTC) surged 4.27% to $71,491.94, while Ethereum (ETH) jumped 6.16% to $2,236.61. XRP (XRP) rose 3.89% to $1.36. Dogecoin (DOGE) climbed 4.10% to $0.09436, Solana (SOL) advanced 6.11% to $84.71, and Avalanche (AVAX) rallied 7.77% to $9.39. Shiba Inu (SHIB) added 4.43% to $0.000056089, World Liberty Financial (WLFI) increased 1.23% to $0.09932, and Pepe (PEPE) soared 9.41% to $0.000053672.

Among the top 100 cryptocurrencies by market capitalization, Zcash (ZEC) posted the largest 24-hour gain, rising 24.74%, while DeXe (DEXE) recorded the steepest decline with a 12.29% drop.

Other notable altcoins included Quai Network (QUAI), which fell 1.44% to $0.03265, and Aleo (ALEO), which rose 1.81% to $0.04347.

Several new cryptocurrencies were listed on CoinMarketCap within the past 24 hours, including Order-Defined Integrity Credit (ODIC), Brent Crude (BRENT), and Tradehub (TRHUB).
