The cryptocurrency market turned lower on October 8, with Bitcoin and Ethereum falling 2% to 4% and major altcoins also weakening. Raydium posted the strongest gain among the 100 largest cryptocurrencies by market capitalization, while Sky recorded a double-digit decline.

According to CoinMarketCap at 9:30 a.m. KST on October 8, Bitcoin (BTC) fell 2.52% from the previous day to $83,371.01. Ethereum (ETH) declined 4.52% to $2,575.46, while XRP fell 5.04% to $1.42.
Solana (SOL) slipped 3.52% to $116.30. Tron (TRX) edged up 0.17% to $0.3359, while Dogecoin (DOGE) fell 4.83% to $0.08928.
Avalanche (AVAX) declined 4.69% to $11.07. World Liberty Financial (WLFI) fell 1.61% to $0.05517, while Worldcoin (WLD) dropped 5.05% to $0.5263.
Among the top 100 cryptocurrencies by market capitalization, Raydium (RAY) gained 10.61%, recording the strongest rise. Sky (SKY), meanwhile, posted the biggest decline at 10.47%.
Other notable altcoins showed mixed performance. Quai Network (QUAI) fell 5.62% to $0.009468, while Aleo (ALEO) gained 10.25% to $0.02963.
Coins newly listed on CoinMarketCap over the past 24 hours include Jean Phil (JEANPHIL) and NEARKAT (NEARKAT).
