DOGE was recently around $0.0887, down roughly 1.6% over 24 hours as Bitcoin and other major cryptocurrencies remained under pressure from rising Treasury yields and broader risk-off sentiment. Near-term analysis now puts the key support region around $0.084-$0.085, with resistance closer to $0.092.
The setup is especially interesting because Dogecoin formed its first daily golden cross in 14 months only two days ago.
Golden Cross Has Not Prevented the Pullback
DOGE’s 50-day moving average recently crossed above its 200-day moving average, a technical signal often associated with improving longer-term momentum.
But the bullish crossover arrived just as the market turned lower.
Coinpaper’s previous Dogecoin price prediction identified $0.098–$0.10 as the resistance zone bulls still needed to clear before a stronger breakout could develop.
Instead, DOGE reversed toward $0.09 and then slipped below it.
That does not automatically invalidate the golden cross, but it shows why the signal needs confirmation from price. If DOGE cannot reclaim $0.092–$0.093, the bullish crossover risks becoming less relevant in the short term.

Dogecoin also faces a separate event next week.
Bitwise has decided to close its BWOW Dogecoin ETF, with the final trading day scheduled for October 14. According to the fund’s SEC filing, Bitwise expects to convert the fund’s Dogecoin holdings to cash as part of the liquidation process.
The filing does not specify how much DOGE will be sold or whether those transactions will materially affect the market, so the price impact remains uncertain.
Still, the closure reinforces a weakness Coinpaper has already highlighted: institutional ETF demand for DOGE remains limited compared with Bitcoin, Ethereum and XRP. A recent Dogecoin outlook identified ETF demand as one of the weaker parts of the broader bullish case.
