ASTEROID, a recent memecoin, has made headlines due to its extraordinary rise in value in a short period of time.

The project became the focus of investors, reaching a peak of $170 million from a market capitalization of $50,000 during the day. However, it is important to remember that memecoins involve a very high level of risk, and almost all users have lost nearly all of their funds.

Memecoin gained attention after Elon Musk became involved. The project is based on the Shiba Inu character “Asteroid,” designed by 15-year-old Liv Perrotto, who passed away this year. The young designer, who was battling cancer, had developed this character as a zero-G indicator for SpaceX’s Polaris Dawn mission.

One of Liv Perrotto’s biggest dreams was to meet Elon Musk and ask him various questions. The young designer had prepared a list of questions to ask Musk, but due to her health condition, she never had the opportunity to personally deliver them. After her daughter’s death, her mother, Rebecca Perrotto, shared these questions with the public, hoping that Musk would answer them.

According to the shared information, Musk answered Liv’s questions. Giving brief answers to many questions ranging from Tesla’s new projects and game updates to his visits to Japan and his anime preferences, Musk responded positively to the question of whether the Asteroid character would become the SpaceX mascot, simply saying “Okay.”

Following Elon Musk’s response, the price of the memecoin Asteroid experienced a sudden surge. It’s worth reiterating that this altcoin, not listed on any centralized cryptocurrency exchange, carries very high risk.
