ETHFI Coin Price Prediction: Can ether.fi Reach $1 Again?
CryptoCompass editorial visual for defi coverage.

ETHFI is trading near $0.69 on October 19, 2026, giving ether.fi a market capitalization of roughly $668 million. At first glance, the token looks heavily discounted compared with previous highs, but that alone tells us very little about whether ETHFI deserves a higher valuation.

The more useful question is whether ether.fi’s growing business can create enough recurring demand for ETHFI itself.

My assessment is cautiously positive. ether.fi is generating meaningful protocol revenue, expanding beyond staking and already has a documented buyback mechanism. The unresolved issue is whether those buybacks are being executed consistently enough to create measurable value for token holders.

ether.fi Is Generating Real Revenue

DefiLlama data shows ether.fi with approximately $5 billion in total value locked and $12.35 million in fees over the latest 30-day period.

More importantly, protocol revenue reached roughly $3.78 million over those 30 days.

Monthly revenue has also been improving:

Month Protocol revenue June 2026 $2.79M July 2026 $3.02M August 2026 $3.28M September 2026 $3.79M

September revenue was approximately 36% higher than June.

Annualizing the latest 30-day figure produces a revenue run rate near $46 million. Against ETHFI’s $668 million market capitalization, that works out to roughly 14.5 times annualized protocol revenue.

That is not obviously expensive for a crypto platform still expanding its product set, but it also does not automatically make ETHFI undervalued.

TVL should not be confused with company assets, and protocol revenue is not the same as net profit available to token holders.

The Buyback Mechanism Is the Most Important Part of the ETHFI Story

ether.fi has established an economic connection between protocol activity and ETHFI.

Official documentation says all eETH withdrawal-fee revenue is directed toward weekly ETHFI purchases, while a portion of broader protocol revenue is used for monthly purchases.

Purchased ETHFI can then be distributed to sETHFI holders, with some flexibility for liquidity-related use.

That is potentially significant because rising ether.fi revenue could translate into recurring ETHFI demand.

But there is an important caveat.

Redistributing purchased tokens is different from permanently removing them from circulation. Recipients can eventually sell their ETHFI.

There is also a data gap worth watching. DefiLlama currently records zero holder revenue from May through September and in October to date, despite ether.fi’s documented buyback framework.

That does not prove the program stopped. It could reflect incomplete tracking or differences in how the purchases are classified. But until recent transactions can be independently reconciled, I would not treat the buyback thesis as fully proven.

The older DAO proposal also allowed up to $50 million for ETHFI purchases when the token trades below $3. That is a spending ceiling, not evidence that $50 million has already been deployed, and $3 is not a price target.

ether.fi Is Becoming More Than a Staking Protocol

The underlying business has continued expanding.

In August, ether.fi announced a broader financial application incorporating trading, tokenized stocks and metals, Aave-powered borrowing and additional fiat payment infrastructure.

The company reported more than 500,000 members and approximately $2 billion in annual transaction volume at the time.

Those figures are company-reported, and transaction volume should not be mistaken for revenue. Still, the expansion gives ether.fi additional ways to generate fees beyond liquid staking.

The protocol has also introduced security and governance changes around weETH and, more recently, practical account features such as transaction exports, account statements and proof-of-ownership letters.

None of those announcements alone justifies a higher ETHFI price.

Together, however, they show a business attempting to build a broader crypto financial platform instead of relying on one product.

ETHFI Coin Price Prediction for the Next 3 to 6 Months

Using $0.69 as the reference price, I would frame ETHFI around three scenarios.

Scenario ETHFI price Return from $0.69 What would need to happen Bullish $0.90-$1.10 +30% to +59% Revenue keeps growing, buybacks become verifiable and crypto conditions improve Mixed $0.60-$0.85 -13% to +23% Business improves, but token demand remains inconsistent Bearish $0.40-$0.50 -42% to -28% Crypto weakness combines with poor token value capture

The $1 level is realistic enough to examine.

With approximately one billion tokens, $1 would place ETHFI near a $1 billion fully diluted valuation.

Against the current annualized protocol revenue estimate of roughly $46 million, that would value the project at around 22 times revenue.

That multiple is possible for a growing crypto financial platform, but holding it would depend on ether.fi continuing to increase revenue and proving that some of that economic activity consistently benefits ETHFI holders.

What Would Make Me More Bullish on ETHFI?

There are three things I would want to see before moving from cautiously positive to clearly bullish.

First, recurring buybacks need to be independently visible and easy to verify.

Second, the revenue trend needs to continue. A few months of improvement are encouraging, but sustained growth would make the current valuation easier to defend.

Third, ether.fi needs clearer reporting on where purchased ETHFI goes and how much of the program translates into lasting token demand.

There is also supply concentration to consider. The original allocation assigned 33.74% of ETHFI to investors and 21.47% to core contributors, for a combined 55.21%.

That does not tell us who owns those tokens today, but vesting and distribution remain relevant when estimating future selling pressure.

My ETHFI coin price prediction therefore leans positive, but not aggressively so.

At roughly $0.69, I think $0.90-$1.10 is achievable over the next three to six months if revenue continues improving and the buyback mechanism becomes more transparent. If those two pieces fail to materialize, ether.fi can continue growing as a business without ETHFI necessarily following it higher.
