What to Know

  • Shiba Inu recorded only $1 in hourly burns, while 4.71 million SHIB were permanently removed across the reported 24-hour period.
  • SHIB traded near $0.00000466 with a 1.21% gain, although the token surrendered some ground from its $0.00000475 intraday high.
  • Broader economic reports and Federal Reserve expectations could influence cryptocurrency risk appetite, adding another factor affecting SHIB price direction and demand.

Shiba Inu’s burn activity has dropped to an unusually low level, with only $1 worth of SHIB removed within one hour. According to Shibburn’s X account, holders transferred the tokens into a dead wallet, permanently removing them from the available SHIB supply.

Moreover, the preceding hour recorded no burn transactions, highlighting the limited amount of SHIB entering inaccessible wallets across those periods. Despite the small hourly figure, Shiba Inu holders burned 4.71 million SHIB worth approximately $22 over the previous 24 hours.

The seven-day burn total reached 94.67 million SHIB, while the reported 30-day figure stood at 3.36 billion tokens. Each burn transaction sends SHIB to addresses without accessible private keys, preventing holders from recovering or spending those tokens. However, the latest hourly amount represents only a tiny reduction compared with Shiba Inu’s enormous circulating token supply.

SHIB Price Holds Near $0.00000466 Amid Limited Burn Activity

SHIB also recorded modest gains as traders assessed its price direction alongside the latest figures from the token-burning tracker. The meme coin reached an intraday high of $0.00000475 before easing to approximately $0.00000466 during the reported trading period.

At that level, SHIB remained about 1.21% higher over 24 hours despite failing to hold its intraday peak. Significantly, the limited hourly burn provides little immediate support for price because its value remains negligible compared with SHIB’s overall market size.

Larger and sustained reductions would remove more tokens from circulation, although burn activity alone does not determine Shiba Inu’s market valuation. Trading volume, broader cryptocurrency sentiment, investor demand, and macroeconomic conditions can also influence SHIB’s direction across shorter market periods.

Besides, investors are preparing for several United States economic reports that could influence expectations surrounding Federal Reserve monetary policy. July inflation data remains an important release, while producer prices and weekly initial jobless claims will provide additional economic signals.

Retail sales figures and preliminary consumer sentiment data will also offer investors further information about conditions across the United States economy. Consequently, changing interest-rate expectations could affect demand for risk assets, including cryptocurrencies and speculative tokens such as Shiba Inu.

SHIB Burn Slowdown Highlights Supply Reduction Challenge

Shiba Inu’s latest figures demonstrate the considerable difference between individual hourly burns and reductions recorded across longer measurement periods. While 4.71 million SHIB disappeared over 24 hours, only $1 worth entered dead wallets during the latest reported hour.

Additionally, the zero-burn period immediately beforehand shows that token destruction can fluctuate considerably instead of maintaining a consistent hourly pace. Such fluctuations matter because the burn mechanism relies on transactions that permanently remove tokens rather than temporarily locking available SHIB.

Shiba Inu recorded only $1 in hourly burns, while its broader 24-hour total reached approximately 4.71 million SHIB. Meanwhile, SHIB traded near $0.00000466 as burn activity, market demand, and economic developments remained important factors influencing its price direction.
