Author Stephen King is one of U.S. President Donald Trump's fiercest critics.
When a fan once asked him how he would end a potential story about Trumpian America, the "King of Horror" said Trump's impeachment would be a good ending. Even retirement works, he said.
The bad ending, as per King, would be Trump winning the election for the third time and completely taking over things.
"It’s a horror story either way. Trump is a horror story, isn’t he?"

King slams Trump's claim of being only president to donate salary claim, crypto profits
A video of Trump's interview with NBC News has been doing the rounds on the internet in which he talked about being the only president, with the "possible exception" of George Washington, to donate his entire salary to the government.
King slammed Trump's claim and said other presidents have also donated their salaries.
At least two other presidents have donated their entire salaries, while others have donated portions. During his four-year tenure, President Herbert Hoover donated his annual salary of $75,000. During his two years in the White House, President John F. Kennedy also donated his salary of $100,000.
King also slammed Trump for profiting off crypto.
As reported earlier, Trump's 2025 financial disclosure showed he reported more than $1.2 billion in crypto-related income, largely from his TRUMP meme coin licensing business and World Liberty Financial. The filing also disclosed at least $50 million in Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) holdings.
Facing criticism over alleged conflict of interest, Trump defended his involvement with these crypto ventures and said there is "nothing illegal" with it.
Trump claimed during a CNBC interview that he doesn't personally manage any crypto projects and it's his son, Eric, who manages them.
"I don't talk to him about things such as this. I think I'd be allowed to. I'm not sure even what the status is."
Trump's deep involvement in crypto businesses has become a major flashpoint between the Democrats and Republicans as the two parties spar over the contentious Clarity Act, potentially the most comprehensive framework for crypto assets in the U.S.
Democrats have been pushing for increased ethics guardrails for elected officials like Trump, who has made more than $1 billion on digital currencies.
