TLDR:

  • TD Sequential flashed four-hour buy signals on Bitcoin, Ethereum, and XRP after sharp price corrections.
  • Bitcoin fell 5.55% from $86,976 on October 5 to $82,150 on October 8 before its signal appeared.
  • Ethereum dropped 7.36% to $2,537, with the analyst watching recovery levels at $2,620 and $2,650.
  • US spot Bitcoin ETFs saw $487M in net outflows on October 7, led by IBIT with $208M in withdrawals.

A TD Sequential buy signal has appeared on the four-hour charts of Bitcoin, Ethereum, and XRP. The signals follow sharp corrections across the three assets.

Analyst Ali Charts shared the observation in a thread on X on October 8. Meanwhile, US spot Bitcoin and Ethereum exchange-traded funds recorded net outflows on October 7.

SoSoValue data shows both fund groups lost assets that day. Market participants are now watching whether buyers step in over the next few four-hour candles.

Bitcoin Records a Four-Hour Buy Signal

According to Ali Charts, the TD Sequential flagged a buy signal on Bitcoin’s four-hour chart. The post said BTC fell 5.55% from $86,976 on October 5.

The price was $82,150 on October 8, the day of the post. That drop equals $4,826. The thread was published at 11:05 AM on October 8.

The analyst noted that the signal suggests the pullback may be nearing an end. The analyst added that a rebound is now worth watching. However, the post did not set a specific price target for Bitcoin or XRP.

The thread opened with a headline pointing to buy signals on Bitcoin, Ethereum, and XRP. The analyst described the TD Sequential buy signal as a possible sign of a turn. Confirmation would depend on buyer activity in the next four-hour candles.

Ethereum and XRP Show Similar Setups

Ethereum showed a similar setup in the same thread. ETH dropped 7.36% from $2,738 to $2,537 before the four-hour TD Sequential buy signal appeared. That decline equals about $201 per coin.

If buyers confirm the signal, the analyst is watching for a recovery toward $2,620. The next level mentioned was $2,650. Both figures were presented as levels to watch.

The analyst did not name a target beyond $2,650 for Ethereum. Both levels sit above the $2,537 price mentioned in the thread.

XRP also flashed a four-hour TD Sequential buy signal after a decline from $1.53 to $1.39. Notably, an earlier sell signal aligned closely with the token’s local high.

The analyst questioned whether the new buy signal marks a local low. The drop equals about $0.14 per token, or roughly 9.2%.

ETF Outflows Accompany the Price Decline

Separately, SoSoValue reported net outflows from US spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds on October 7. The total reached $487 million. BlackRock’s IBIT led the withdrawals with $208 million. IBIT’s share represents about 43% of the daily total.

US spot Ethereum ETFs also recorded outflows on the same day. These funds saw $161 million in net withdrawals. BlackRock’s ETHA accounted for $116 million of that amount.

ETHA’s share represents about 72% of the Ethereum outflows. Together, both fund groups recorded $648 million in net outflows.

All three TD Sequential signals appeared after sharp corrections, according to the analyst. The analyst said a rebound is possible. However, the next few four-hour candles need to show buyers stepping in.
