OGY
The ORIGYN Foundation supports the ORIGYN protocol and the ORIGYN DAO, a Decentralized Autonomous Organization. The Foundation initiated the DAO in 2022 but no longer controls it, since it evolved into an autonomous governance system.
The Foundation continues its mission by verifying professional users of the protocol (integrators) and supporting the development of the open-source protocol.

The ORIGYN Foundation acted as the original founding contributor to the ORIGYN DAO. The purpose of this role was to establish the initial framework, deploy the core infrastructure, and ensure the protocol could transition into a decentralized governance system.
Following this initial setup, the governance authority concerning the protocol was transferred to the ORIGYN DAO, where decisions are made through decentralized voting by OGY token holders.

The ORIGYN Foundation operates as a non-profit entity. The Foundation is governed by a council of foundation. The Foundation Board has the authority to mandate independent contractors, service providers, or external companies to contribute to the development of the protocol. These tasks may include technical development, compliance services, operational support, or ecosystem maintenance.
All development of the ORIGYN protocol is conducted under an open-source framework. The applicable open-source license defines how the software may be used, modified, and distributed, ensuring transparency and accessibility.

To support the development of the protocol, the ORIGYN Foundation may sell OGY tokens when necessary. These sales are conducted to finance operational expenses, including infrastructure support, compliance activities, and ecosystem development.
The Foundation does not mint new tokens for operational purposes. It uses existing token reserves allocated to support the protocol’s growth and sustainability.

Integrators are authorized entities that use the ORIGYN protocol to issue digital certificates. As they interact directly with real-world assets and certification processes, it is essential to ensure that they are properly verified, comply with KYC/AML requirements, and meet the standards they represent.
The ORIGYN Foundation Board reviews all integrator applications and verifies their legitimacy prior to approval, ensuring the integrity and trustworthiness of the ecosystem.
This framework was approved through governance (NNS Proposal #59).https://nns.ic0.app/proposal/?u=leu43-oiaaa-aaaaq-aadgq-cai&proposal=59

To ensure compliance with regulatory standards, the Foundation may mandate specialized service providers to perform KYC and AML verification on integrators. These compliance checks help ensure that only legitimate businesses and authorized entities are able to use the ORIGYN certification infrastructure.
This compliance process strengthens the integrity of the ecosystem and aligns with international regulatory expectations.
ORIGYN is redefining the Real-World Asset sector with the most advanced blockchain-based certification protocol. By creating secure and transparent digital certificates for valuable assets, ORIGYN ensures trust, authenticity, and ownership integrity. Powered by the Internet Computer Protocol, ORIGYN bridges the gap between physical and digital assets, unlocking a future of efficiency, accessibility, and global participation in the RWA economy.
