BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) experienced its largest single-day withdrawal since June, as US-listed spot Bitcoin ETFs opened November with heavy outflows. According to figures from Farside Investors, the funds saw net outflows totaling $398.6 million on Monday, with BlackRock’s IBIT accounting for $405.3 million of that sum.

Largest IBIT Outflow Since June

This withdrawal marks IBIT’s highest daily outflow since June 26, when $444.5 million was pulled from the fund. While IBIT led the outflows, Fidelity’s Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund (FBTC) managed to attract $6.7 million on Monday, providing a modest counterbalance to the overall withdrawals.

The trend follows a difficult October for US spot Bitcoin ETFs, which recorded $515 million in net outflows during the month. In total, spot Bitcoin ETFs in the US have seen approximately $38 million in net outflows so far in 2026.

Edwin Mata, CEO of tokenization company Brickken, stated that these outflows do not necessarily signal a broad rejection of digital assets. He noted that investors often reduce exposure when uncertainty rises, especially after incidents that challenge the security of market infrastructure.

ETF Outflows Amid Market Volatility

The recent withdrawals come at a time of increased volatility in the cryptocurrency sector. The $6.3 billion security breach at Binance has raised concerns about the overall stability of crypto market infrastructure, which analysts suggest may be prompting risk reduction among institutional investors.

Bitcoin’s price briefly dipped below $76,400 on Monday, hitting its lowest point since August, based on data from CoinGecko. At the time of publication, Bitcoin traded around $76,600, reflecting a 3.7% decrease over the last week.

Ether ETFs Also Face Withdrawals

US spot Ether (ETH) ETFs were not immune to the sell-off, reporting around $140 million in net outflows on Monday. This activity has extended the losing streak for ETH ETFs to six consecutive trading days. According to SoSoValue, Ether ETFs reported a record $1.61 billion in monthly net outflows during October.

As Ether ETF outflows stretch into multiple trading days, market analysts are raising questions about whether recent patterns, such as the historically bullish “Uptober,” are losing their predictive power amid ongoing industry disruptions.

With both Bitcoin and Ether ETFs facing persistent net outflows amid heightened market uncertainty, institutional sentiment toward crypto ETFs appears increasingly cautious heading into the final months of the year.
