US-listed spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) recorded approximately $301 million in net inflows last week, breaking a two-week run of outflows despite significant withdrawals toward the end of the week.

Shift in Bitcoin ETF Flows

The previous week, spot Bitcoin ETFs faced net outflows of around $228 million, following an even larger loss of $680 million the week before. October’s net outflows now stand at nearly $314 million based on data from Farside Investors.

Between Monday and Wednesday, Bitcoin ETFs attracted $1.08 billion in inflows as Bitcoin’s price surged to a weekly high of $84,777 on Wednesday, according to CoinGecko data. However, sentiment changed rapidly as investors pulled out approximately $774 million on Thursday and Friday when Bitcoin fell back toward the $80,000 level.

Investor Behavior and Price Movements

Research from DWF Labs, published Thursday, indicates that ETF holders often reduce exposure during Bitcoin corrections, rather than buying dips. The company observed net outflows during seven out of eight declines of at least 15% since the debut of US spot Bitcoin ETFs in January 2024.

DWF’s analysis points to a pattern: “ETF investors aren’t the dip buyers people think they are,” the firm stated in its report.

At the close of last week, Bitcoin traded at $80,025, representing a 3.3% decline compared to the previous week. The Crypto Fear & Greed Index also demonstrated a cooling of market sentiment, falling to a “Neutral” score of 50 from last week’s “Greed” level of 59.

Spot Ether ETFs Remain Under Pressure

While Bitcoin ETFs reversed outflows, US spot Ether ETFs marked their fourth straight week of net outflows, declining by around $221 million last week, as reported by Farside Investors.

Spot Ether ETF outflows continued amid broad market uncertainty, with no signs of immediate recovery in investor sentiment.

In fast-changing crypto markets, where one Federal Reserve announcement or a sudden altcoin listing can send asset prices sharply higher or lower within seconds, investors are increasingly seeking ways to monitor trends and execute trades more efficiently. Smart traders are now using privacy-first tools such as CryptoAppsy to bring together real-time charts, price alerts, coin-specific news, and macroeconomic data on a single interface—eliminating the need to switch between different platforms. This allows market participants to stay updated and react promptly without even creating an account.
