The Bitcoin price is stuck. Weeks of bouncing between $62,000 and $66,000, and now it’s near $63,000 doing the same old thing.

Big money keeps flowing into spot Bitcoin ETFs, $850 million came in just this week. Institutions are buying. But the BTC price can’t crack $66,000.

Other coins are moving. Ethereum is at $1,895. Solana is around $76. The XRP price clings to $1 after that nasty drop earlier this year. If you want real upside, you won’t find it in Bitcoin right now. Smaller coins with actual news behind them? That’s where the bigger percentage moves happen.

So forget BTC for a minute. The better question is: which altcoin actually has the best shot at beating Bitcoin from here?

How Can We Ask AI to Make This Prediction?

We gave three AI models the same pile of market data and told them to pick one crypto that could beat Bitcoin this cycle. The choices: Ethereum, Solana, XRP, Cardano, and Sui. Each model got the full picture, price, weekly performance, market cap, trading volume, RSI, support and resistance levels, ETF money flow, institutional moves, network stats, upgrades, and any regulatory news.

For Bitcoin, we set the stage. Price at $63,812.44, market cap at $1.28 trillion, dominance at 58.5%, and $22.22 billion in daily volume.

Over the last seven days, the BTC price dropped 1.6%. The floor was around $62,000. The ceiling, $67,000. We also fed them the ETF data, $865.3 million came in last week, even though there was heavy selling in that $62,000–$65,000 range where a lot of people bought in.

The AI models then had to compare BTC’s potential move to $80,000 against the upside available from each altcoin. They were also instructed to weigh market cap, liquidity, catalysts, institutional interest, technical conditions, and risk instead of choosing the asset with the biggest theoretical percentage return.

What ChatGPT Predicts and Why

ChatGPT picked Solana (SOL) as the strongest Bitcoin outperformer. The SOL price was $76.16 and had gained about 4% over seven days, compared with BTC’s 1.6% decline. Solana also had a $44.37 billion market cap and $1.37 billion in daily volume, giving it considerably more liquidity than smaller candidates such as SUI.

Institutional positioning was another major factor. GSR allocated 43.6% of its Core3 portfolio to SOL, compared with just 16.9% for Bitcoin. ChatGPT also pointed to the proposed fee-burning changes, Alpenglow upgrade and potential regulated investment products as catalysts.

Its biggest concern was the August 13 outage that took 28.83% of staked SOL offline, bringing the network close to the 33.34% finality threshold.

Claude’s Pick for the Crypto That Could Beat Bitcoin

Claude also chose SOL, giving it a target range of $100–$120. That represents 31%–58% upside from the current SOL price, compared with Bitcoin’s 25.4% upside to $80,000.

Claude focused on three factors: GSR’s 43.6% SOL allocation, potential spot ETF demand, and Solana’s upcoming technical upgrades. It also pointed to the $44 billion market cap as a sweet spot, offering more upside potential than ETH without the liquidity limitations of smaller tokens.

The network outage remained the biggest risk to its thesis.

Gemini Makes Its Choice: Does It Agree With the Others?

Gemini also selected Solana, making it a clean sweep across all three AI models.

Gemini focused on the same GSR allocation, potential ETF approval, and Solana’s network upgrades. It placed a potential SOL price target at $135, which would give the SOL price 77% upside from $76.16.

Gemini also compared SOL with the other candidates. ETH has stronger staking fundamentals but a much larger $228.18 billion market cap.

The XRP price faces the recent bridge exploit and elevated futures positioning. ADA has a smaller market cap but weaker volume and no immediate Grayscale ETF route. SUI offers the largest speculative upside, but its $142.93 million daily volume creates greater liquidity risk.

Which Crypto Has the Best Chance to Outperform BTC?

All three AI models picked the same one: Solana. They think it’s got the best shot at beating Bitcoin this cycle.

Here’s the math. The Bitcoin price would need to climb 25.4% to hit $80,000. For Solana to match that same percentage gain, it only needs to get to about $95.50. If SOL hits $120, that’s roughly 57.5% up. At $135, you’re looking at about 77.3%.

Sure, SUI might have more room to run on paper. And Ethereum feels safer if you don’t want to take big risks. But Solana is in that sweet spot, good price action, institutions are paying attention, there’s plenty of trading volume, and a bunch of things are lining up in its favor all at once.

The main threat is network reliability. If Solana can avoid further major outages and its ETF and upgrade catalysts develop as expected, the AI consensus is clear: SOL has the best chance of beating the Bitcoin price from here.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which crypto could outperform Bitcoin this cycle❓

All three AI models picked Solana (SOL) as the crypto with the strongest chance of outperforming Bitcoin, citing its institutional interest, stronger recent performance, liquidity, and upcoming catalysts.

How much could Solana rise compared with Bitcoin❓

Bitcoin needs a 25.4% gain to reach $80,000 from $63,812.44. If the SOL price reaches $120 from $76.16, it would gain about 57.5%, more than twice Bitcoin’s potential return.

What is the biggest risk to the Solana price prediction❓

Network reliability is the biggest risk. On August 13, an outage took 28.83% of staked SOL offline, bringing the network close to the threshold associated with a finality halt.
