Key Insights

  • XRP price faces a key $1.30 resistance, with a confirmed breakout potentially opening the way towards a continuing rally.
  • An analyst has warned of an incoming volatility spike as XRP’s four-hour Bollinger Bands tighten.
  • Whale wallets holding at least 1 million XRP reached a 2026 high of 2,147.

The XRP price is approaching a technical test that could determine whether its latest recovery has room to develop or will stall below resistance.

On November 5, 2026, crypto analyst EGRAG CRYPTO identified $1.30 as a key level for a potential breakout, while Ali Charts pointed to a narrow trading range that could precede a sharp move in either direction. The $2 mark remains a much larger target. For now, traders have closer levels to watch.

The difference between these price points matters. XRP does not need to reach $2 to show that buyers are regaining control. It first needs to clear the resistance that has restricted its recovery and hold the support levels beneath it.

XRP Price Faces a $1.30 Test

EGRAG CRYPTO’s latest technical analysis places the $1.30 level at the center of XRP’s short-term outlook. The analyst highlighted a fifth attempt to break a descending resistance trendline that has constrained the token since late September.

According to the analysis, a confirmed daily close above $1.30 would provide a stronger indication that XRP is overcoming that trendline.

A brief move above the level would be less convincing without follow-through. EGRAG identified three potential resistance levels above it: $1.3234, $1.3551 and $1.3884. These correspond to Fibonacci retracement levels and a higher technical zone the analyst calls the Zone of Confidence.

The chart also puts $1.27 among the levels buyers need to defend. A drop below that area would weaken the immediate bullish setup, while support around $1.2558 could become relevant if selling pressure increases.

Analyst Sees a Volatility Signal, Not Guaranteed Rally

Ali Martinez has also drawn attention to XRP’s compressed price action. In an X post, the analyst said the token’s four-hour Bollinger Bands had narrowed to their tightest levels since August.

The previous time the bands reached a similar level of compression, XRP rallied 71% in three days, according to Ali Charts. However, the analyst cautioned that a squeeze does not predict which direction the next move will take.

Ali outlined two levels that could help determine the next trend. A four-hour close above $1.27 would be bullish in the analyst’s view, while a close below $1.23 would favor sellers. Until either level breaks, Ali described the $1.23-$1.27 range as a no-trade zone.

The distinction is important for the XRP price outlook. Volatility may be building, but the indicator alone does not establish that a rally is imminent. Traders still need confirmation from price action.

Whale Wallets Reach a 2026 High as XRP ETF Interest Remains in Focus

On-chain activity provides another part of the picture. A November 5 report by The Coin Republic said wallets holding at least 1 million XRP had reached a 2026 high of 2,147. The XRP Ledger also added 7,934 wallets on November 1, its sixth-highest daily increase this year.

Those figures point to increased wallet activity and a growing number of large-balance addresses. They do not, by themselves, prove that whales have been accumulating tokens. Wallet counts can rise without a corresponding increase in net buying.

The XRP ETF market offers a separate measure of institutional exposure. Data published by Farside Investors ETF Flows showed that the five tracked US spot XRP funds had accumulated approximately $1.81 billion in net inflows since launch, with $647.9 million in year-to-date inflows as of November 4. The daily flow for that date was reported as zero, although the initial update was still partial.

That distinction matters. Cumulative inflows indicate that regulated investment products have attracted capital over time, but they do not guarantee fresh demand in every session or dictate the direction of the XRP price.

Can Ripple’s XRP Price Reclaim $2?

The Coin Republic’s November 5 analysis framed $2 as a possible recovery target, but also noted that XRP was trading near $1.28 and faced resistance around $1.30-$1.35. That leaves several technical hurdles between the current price area and the psychological $2 threshold.

The broader market backdrop has also improved modestly. In its November 4 market update, The Coin Republic reported Bitcoin recovering toward $80,000, Ethereum trading near $2,292, and XRP around $1.27 following the US midterm elections. The report also noted that political changes could affect the outlook for pending US crypto legislation.
